What is Chiromassage?

At an etymological level, the word "quiromassage" comes from the combination of two words of Greek origin, separating it into two, "Quiros" (hands) and "mass" (massage), resulting in "massage with hands".

This term defines the private field studies taught in Spain and is mainly used to differentiate it from massage techniques that use electrical devices or mechanical instruments.

The Quiromassage was the result of the mixture, by DR. Ferrándiz García, of various types of massage of western and eastern origin, such as Swedish massage, acupressure, Japanese massage, among many others.

The success of Quiromassage lies in the effects, both direct and indirect, on the human body.

The direct effects are the result of local manual work in the areas of tissue tension and that result in an improvement in blood circulation, tissue elasticity and improved sliding between them.

And the indirect effects, those resulting that go beyond the physical level itself, such as the balance of the Autonomic Nervous System producing relaxation, increased physical energy, improvement in the amount of sleep and its quality, in addition to the decrease in symptoms of depression and anxiety.

The doctor. Torck affirmed that "Where a certain organic and tissue fatigue has been implanted, the stimulation of massage is the most effective curative means" and designates manual therapy as "the best regulator of body function", being the sum of these actions and their effects, the perfect combination to activate the body's self-healing capacity.
