CONTRAINDICATIONS
Massage may not be suitable for everyone, and certain medical conditions may preclude the use of this manual treatment, or may require the consent of your GP.

If you have any of these conditions, they may not need to be treated with massage at this time:
​
- Fever
- Pregnacy (Totally forbidden duringthe first three months of pregnancy)
- Contagious or infectious diseases, including any cold or complaint, no matter how slight it seems!
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Recent operations or acute phase injuries
- Trauma or unhealed fractures
- Muscle rupture in acute phases
- Neuritis
- Skin diseases
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure
The massage can be given but not on the areas affected by:

- Varicose veins
- Undiagnosed lumps or bumps
- Pregnancy
- Bruises
- Cuts
- Abrasions
- Sunburn
- Inflammation
If you suffer from any of the following conditions, the massage can only take place once it has been approved before the session in writing by your GP:

- Cardio-vascular conditions (thrombosis, phlebitis, hypertension, heart disease)
- Any condition that is already being treated by a doctor
- Edema
- Psoriasis or eczema
- Hypertension
- Osteoporosis
- Cancer
- Neurological conditions or psychotic disorders
- Angina pectoris or people with pacemakers
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Pregnacy
